Two Months

Hi all...well really not all, because most of the people who read this blog are currently with me in Oregon...but hi those of you that are not here.

Today, Kurt and I have been working on our project for two months.  The last couple of weeks have been hard for me as I started working...and I haven't been able to make it to the gym.  This week though, we are looking forward to taking long walks with the dogs.

So, we are going to wait until we return home on Sunday to take our pictures and do our measurements...so you'll just have to wait a bit to hear...but things are looking good!!

Anyway, that is all for today...I just want to say, Trevor, if you get a chance to check it out, we miss you on our trip :P

Leaving on a jet plane

Saying goodbye to Florida today.  I won't miss walking in your muggy air.  I have no plans to walk today...since I need to get the rest of my odds and ends put away and I don't know what time we're getting out of here.

Yesterday tho, I walked out to Panera Bread...then realized that it wasn't really going to be the easiest thing to walk and drink coffee...its not like I was out on a stroll of something.  2.6 miles in about 55 minutes.  I started slowing down toward the end because at about 2 miles I started feeling a blister.  I took my regular tennis shoes because my walking shoes wouldn't fit and I found that if I actually tie the laces every time instead of slip them on and off, they didn't give my feet such a hard time...but apparently they have a limit.\

So I guess when I get home, I have to start looking for some new walking shoes...at least until my feet start to lose some of their fat and I can wear the ones I have.

Ok...short and sweet.  I gotta go shower now.

Traveling Day

As Kurt said, I left for Florida today.  I know that being good is going to be difficult this week, but luckily there is a fitness center on site as well as beautiful grounds to walk on.

Today was a hard day to eat well.  I tried to have a granola bar at 6am this morning, but when I travel, I typically lose my appetite, so I only had half of it.  For lunch, I ordered a grilled southwest chicken caesar salad, which came coated in the dressing, but was one of the better meals on the menu.  And once we arrived to the resort, we went to dinner...which I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich with swiss...and a raspberry colada...which the drinking may be the worst thing I do on this trip.

My stepmom and I walked around the Dallas airport so we could try to get a little bit of exercise in today...especially with all the sitting on the plane.

So not horrible considering that finding good for you food while traveling is difficult...but luckily I have very supportive people who are also looking for good healthy food.

My biggest challenge is to drink more water when I am traveling, because I hate having to use the restroom repeatedly when in an airport and on a plane.  But, especially with how humid it is here, I need to remember to get over that issue on the trip home, as well as while I am here.

So I am attempting to get up at 6am tomorrow (or today for me since it is almost 12:30am) to walk since it is so freaking humid here.

Time for sleep.
